Hasbro is embracing nostalgia with two new releases for its My Little Pony brand.
The first is a new YouTube series called “My Little Pony: The Retro Show.” The episodes feature ’80s and ’90s-inspired My Little Pony videos. The first video, which launched today, goes behind the scenes of a music video from the original series. A new episode of the show will debut every Thursday.
The second release is an Amazon-exclusive set of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic characters, pictured above. The collection includes the Mane 6 — Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity — redesigned to resemble the My Little Pony figures from the ’80s. Each stands 3 inches tall, featuring a reimagined cutie mark and rooted hair. The set is available for preorder now and will be officially available starting on Sept. 1.
