If you’ve ever had an idea for a new toy or game that you think deserves a shot at the global stage, one of the biggest players in the business is ready to listen.
Hasbro, the company behind Transformers, My Little Pony, G.I. Joe, NERF, and Power Rangers, is opening its Hasbro Spark platform to international inventors. Since its launch in 2016, Hasbro Spark has received thousands of submissions from creators in the U.S. Now, the idea submission platform is open to inventors in Canada, the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.
“With our Spark platform, we are expanding globally to make it even easier for people to share their creative toy and game ideas with our inventor relations team,” says Jared Wade, senior vice president of design innovation and inventor relations at Hasbro. “Taking those barriers away benefits Hasbro in that we’re getting the best ideas in the world.”
The Hasbro Spark Platform has already identified several inventors with products in the pipeline, including Leo Taylor of Just Playing Games. Taylor’s Escape & Solve Mystery Game, Clue: Treachery at Tudor Mansion, is in stores now.
