Several new items from the Star Wars: The Black Series and The Vintage Collection lines were announced during yesterday’s Hasbro’s “I Am Your Father’s Day” livestream. A galactic lineup of action figures, lightsabers, and vehicle sets are storming into retail stores this year.
The collection kicks off this spring with two Mandalorian-inspired lightsabers: Star Wars Lightsaber Squad The Mandalorian and Star Wars Lightsaber Squad The Child. Kids ages 4 and up can blast off into a milky way of imaginative galactic play with laser sword hilts designed like the characters from Disney+’s The Mandalorian series. Young Jedis-in-training will enjoy The Child’s green-bladed sword design and The Mandalorian’s orange saber action. Each lightsaber is priced at $9.99 and will be available at major retailers soon.
Trooping up behind these products for a fall release are Star Wars: The Black Series 6-inch action figures. Various characters from the original Star Wars trilogy and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are spotlighted in this lineup, such as Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Revan, Galen Erso, Antoc Merrick, K-2SO, and Captain Cassian Andor, among others. Multiple points of articulation and accessories are consistent throughout each figure’s design. For instance, Darth Revan holsters two red-and-purple lightsabers, while Captain Cassian is armed with his heavy blaster pistol. Each figure is priced at $22.99 and is available for preorder at Target and Amazon.
A fleet of figure packs and vehicle assortments round out this lineup’s fall releases. More styles inspired by The Mandalorian are available, such as the Star Wars Mission Fleet The Mandalorian Battle in the Badlands ($19.99), as well as the Star Wars The Bounty Collection Grogu’s Hover-Pram Pack ($14.99). The former features a Blurrg, ridden by a 2-inch stormtrooper figure with a projectile launcher, accompanied by four figure accessories. The latter comes with five accessories, including a Grogu figure, a Sorgan frog, a tentacle soup bowl, and more for a cute playtime twist. Other offerings display more action-packed adventure fun with a variety of figure and vehicle sets, starring expedition, stellar, and fleet-class styles accompanied by articulated action figures and accessories. These products will be available at major retailers later this year.
Next spring, fans can expect a Star Wars: The Vintage Collection lineup of 3-inch figures from The Mandalorian and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Each character — from The Mythrol to Rebel Soldier — comes highly articulated with two to four accessories included in each pack. Each is priced at $13.99 and is available for preorder at Amazon.
