Chalk up another entry into the rapidly expanding “worst-kept secrets” file as products inspired by Marvel Studios’ Thor Love and Thunder have been sneaking out at retail for weeks.

Hasbro‘s Marvel Legends Series is a prime example as images of film-inspired action figures being found on the pegs at retailers across the U.S. have been surfacing on social media for weeks despite a street date being in place. Today’s official reveal comes alongside the first teaser for the upcoming film that hits theaters on July 8.

Hasbro’s robust lineup of 6-inch scale Legends figures comes with premium sculpting, deco, and articulation. The wave includes Thor, Ravager Thor, Groot, Gorr, King Valkyrie, and Star-Lord. Most figures in the wave (all but Thor) include Build-A-Figure pieces that can be used to create a Korg figure.

Additionally, Hasbro will release a Marvel Legends Series Mighty Thor Mjolnir Electronic Hammer. The premium, 1:1 scale replica of the hammer wielded by Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman) features crack lines across the hammerhead and push-button sound effects.

As noted during the recent launch of MGA Entertainment’s Shadow High, keeping new toy lines under wraps has become increasingly difficult as consumers that are not beholden to any agreed-upon embargoes or street dates have shared their enthusiasm by sharing “leaks” of new toys and collectibles that have already entered the global distribution pipelines. In many cases, new releases are being spotted in warehouses, retailer systems, or even “in the wild” — available on store shelves — where they’re being purchased, sometimes weeks or months ahead of their intended release.

Hasbro continues to battle this with most of its collector-focused brands, particularly with Star Wars and Marvel. Additionally, both LEGO and Playmobil products have been known to leak months before being officially acknowledged by their makers.

The Thor: Love and Thunder Marvel Legends Series is set to — officially — hit retail beginning April 26.
