What’s more fun than a Barrel of Monkeys?

Well, Spin Master is about to find out!

The company behind PAW Patrol and Rubik’s Cube adds another classic property to its portfolio with Barrel of Monkeys. Hasbro granted Spin Master the worldwide licensing agreement to the classic game effective Jan. 1, 2024.

“Barrel of Monkeys is just iconic, from the shape of the monkeys and instantly recognizable barrel to the classic pick-up play pattern,” says Adam Hyman, Spin Master’s Vice President of Marketing and Global Business Unit Lead, Games. “Our teams can’t wait to be in the monkey business and are ready to innovate all-new ways to play while maintaining the integrity of the game’s classic design.”

Lakeside Toys originally launched Barrel of Monkeys in 1965 as a pick-up game for kids ages 3 and up.

Most recently, Hasbro offered a version of Barrel of Monkeys under its Elefun and Friends brand while a retro edition of the game was produced under license by Winning Moves Games. Funko also offers a Pop! Vinyl figure inspired by the classic game while Super Impulse produces a miniature version under its Micro Toy Box brand.

Spin Master plans to launch its line of Barrel of Monkeys games next spring.
