The world of Nintendo will continue to expand into toy aisles and playrooms around the world.

Jakks Pacific inked an extension of its licensing deal with Nintendo of America to maintain global toy rights to design, produce, and market Nintendo and Super Mario-inspired toy lines.

The news follows the success of Jakk’s Super Mario It’s-A Me Mario! and Boo Mansion Playset this year.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Nintendo which started in 2013 and has allowed us to ship tens of millions of figures to fans of the games worldwide,” says Craig Drobis, senior vice president of marketing, Jakks Pacific. “We have enjoyed celebrating 35 years of Super Mario this year alongside Nintendo. Jakks will continue to bring to life these iconic characters in a wide variety of new and unique ways for both kids and fans alike. “

A new collection of 2.5-inch figures and playsets are slated to begin hitting retail this spring followed by a broad line of plush, figures in varying scales, vehicles, and more.
