The line between the world of digital collectibles and physical toys just blurred a bit more as Jazwares inked a multi-year, global licensing deal to serve as the master toy and collectible partner for the World of Women (WoW) NFT collective.
Under the new deal, Jazwares will create and market figures, dolls accessories, plush, vehicles, playsets, role-play items, costumes, and accessories inspired by the WoW NFT universe — a realm that celebrates diversity and inclusion across more than 10,000 pieces of digital art.
“WoW is the brainchild of renowned artist, Yam Karkai, who has created a strong community of dedicated enthusiasts during the rising popularity of NFTs,” says Jazwares President Laura Zebersky.
Karkai says that partnering with Jazwares extends the storytelling possibilities for the WoW brand.
“The Jazwares vision of a World of Women master toy partnership stood alone,” Karkai says. “Their general knowledge and enthusiasm for the NFT market is truly inspiring. We are ecstatic to work together, as well as directly with our incredible community, to bring the WoW franchise to this physical medium. Simply put, we cannot envision a better team to execute the next step in our storytelling.”
The WoW line consists of over 10,000 1:1 NFTs created by Karkai. The collection includes 27 different outfits, seven lip colors, and 14 skin tones. Additionally, WoW has high-profile supporters, including Eva Longoria and Gwyneth Paltrow, and recently inked a film and TV deal with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
“This collaboration will seamlessly integrate WoW’s unique styling in our Jazwares WoW branded line of products,” says Jazwares Chief Brand Officer Jeremy Padawer. “An NFT allows the holder to own the original; our line will allow the collecting community to also celebrate its fandom in empowering, high-end, fashionable dolls, toys, and collectibles. We are going to pull out all the stops to make this a phenomenal collecting experience.”
WoW also has partnership deals in place with Universal Music Group, Billboard, Christie’s, The Sandbox, and more.
