Girls Excelling in Math and Science (GEMS) has a goal of helping girls develop confidence, creativity, and interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), as well as art and learning as a whole through making. To help in this effort, Laurent Doll has launched a School Days accessory set for dolls, which includes school clothes, a backpack, a book, a pencil, paper, a ruler, and a calculator.
A portion of the proceeds arising from this kit will be donated to GEMS to support its mission.
“We are happy to support such a worthy organization that benefits girls,” said Kathleen Cahill, president of Laurent Doll, which merged with The Queen’s Treasures earlier this year. “We have a great passion for programs like GEMS that create a path for a girl to become the most accomplished person that she can be.”
GEMS provides resources for parents, educators, interested adults, and girls of all ages to pursue interests and careers in STEM through clubs and individual activities.
