The LEGO Group is going to get even bigger in Asia.

In an effort to meet the long-term growth in demand for LEGO play, The LEGO Group will expand its manufacturing facility in Jiaxing, China

“In recent years we have seen strong demand for fun, creative, high quality, and safe LEGO play experiences across Asia and especially in China,” says LEGO Group Chief Operations Officer Carsten Rasmussen. “To ensure we can delight many more children and fans, we are investing in expanding production capacity and new equipment in our Jiaxing factory.”

The expansion of the factory will include a new facility for molding and processing LEGO elements and a high-capacity automated warehouse. The factory currently employs 1,200 people and LEGO plans to add approximately 452,000 square feet of space through the expansion set to be completed by 2024.
