MasterPieces Inc. teamed up with Kaskey Kids to become manufacturer and marketer of Kaskey’s miniature action figures based on classic sports. Founded in 2002 by Christy Kaskey, Kaskey Kids figures bring the classic play of little green army men to sports-loving kids and families with football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and hockey figures in assorted pack quantities and sizes.

“The new toys are a perfect fit as we strengthen and expand our creative play product offerings,” says David Rolls, president of MasterPieces. “The collections provide unlimited open-ended, imaginative play for kids. We’re proud to continue the high-quality craftsmanship and value of the toys.”

Known mostly for puzzles and games, MasterPieces will begin offering the figures immediately. Each figure is said to be “nearly indestructible,” and every kit comes in a stackable plastic bin with a handle for portable, on-the-go action and neat storage.

MasterPieces has long-term licensing arrangements with the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NCAA across a range of sports-themed games, jigsaw puzzles, wooden toys, room decor, and gifts. Last year, the company became the exclusive licensee for Spot it!, with MLB, NFL, NHL, and NCAA league and team versions of the hit game. Additionally, MasterPieces acquired College Toy Trains, becoming the largest marketer of Collegiate toys, games, and puzzles.
