A new year means new toys, but one company that won’t be found exhibiting anywhere near Toy Fair New York is MGA Entertainment (MGAE).

Just weeks after revealing plans to exhibit offsite in a private showroom at Sky Retail Space in Manhattan, MGAE Founder and CEO Isaac Larian kicked off the new year by announcing that the company is going virtual again in lieu of the 2022 show.

“Due to the rampant spike of the COVID-19, we are reluctantly pulling out of Toy Fair New York one more time,” Larian shared on LinkedIn. “The risks aren’t worth it.”

Instead, MGAE will be hosting virtual appointments again this year to showcase more than 35 new products from brands including L.O.L. Surprise!, Rainbow High, Little Tikes, Na! Na! Na! Surprise!, and many more.

MGAE retail partners are encouraged to contact their regular sales reps to book an appointment.

Last month, The Toy Association confirmed its plans to move foward with Toy Fair New York. The event is slated to take place Feb. 19-22, 2022 in the newly expanded Javits Center.

As always, the Toy Book team from Adventure Media & Events will be on hand at Toy Fair New York to unveil our biggest issue of the year. Check out our 2022 editorial calendar for more information.
