Eight licensees will join the Shopkins merchandise program for U.S. and Canadian markets, bringing the total licensee count to 51. Products licensed include coloring and activity books from Bendon Publishing; every day and seasonal confections from Frankford Candy; sleepwear from AME; bikes and scooters from Dynacraft; plush toys from Just Play; electronic digital invitations from Percy 3D Media Inc; swim accessories, skateboards, and helmets from Edge Brands; and cold weather accessories from HG international.
In 2015, U.S. and Canadian retail sales of Shopkins licensed products is estimated to have reached more than $100 million, with licensees projecting sales will more than double this year.
