Neopets, a website on which kids can raise virtual pets and play games, first launched in 1999 and grew to immense popularity in the ’00s. While the site has remained active over the past two decades, JumpStart Games (which purchased Neopets in 2014) is hoping to introduce a new generation of kids to the site.

One way the company plans to do this is with an animated, family-friendly Neopets series from Beach House Pictures. The series will feature new characters and storylines based on the Neopets virtual world.

The new series is part of a larger rebrand and relaunch of the Neopets brand this year, including a reimagined Neopets website, a new mobile game, and Neopets merch.
