New Children’s Book Aims to Teach New Readers Tolerance, Acceptance

Author and illustrator Phil Padwe is has announced his newest children’s book, Daddy Has A Tattoo, the second in its series. According to a 2012 Harris Poll, one in five American adults are now tattooed.

This illustrated children’s book features 32 pages of bright drawings and a story kids will love. It’s about a little boy named James, who loves his Daddy’s tattoo, and his best friend Polly, who loves parrots. Together they use their imaginations to solve a mystery: why are their daddies tattooed? The story encourages imagination, leverages the fascination children have with tattoos to get them reading, and teaches that people shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, especially when it comes to tattoos.

Daddy Has A Tattoo is available now on Amazon.com and is available by request at local bookstores or libraries. For more information, visit www.daddyhasatattoo.com and www.mommyhastattoos.com.
