This fall, a familiar blue dog will return to Nickelodeon for a new generation in Blue’s Clues & You! — a reboot of the popular Blue’s Clues series that first debuted in 1996.
For the new series, the titular puppy Blue will be joined by a new host — Joshua Dela Cruz — and returning friends such as Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap, Shovel, Pail, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Cinnamon, Paprika, Magenta, Sidetable Drawer, and Mailbox, plus the original Thinking Chair. The Handy Dandy Notebook and crayon have been updated, and Josh will jam out some tunes on his brand-new Handy Dandy Guitar.
The network dropped an unexpected Memorial Day treat with the release of a first-look music video that shows off the refreshed signature look for the series, in which Blue invites viewers to join in the fun on a clue-led adventure to solve a puzzle.
Three episodes of the series will debut on Walmart’s video service, Vudu, prior to the formal launch on Nickelodeon this November. Blues Clues & You! is from original series creators Traci Paige Johnson, Todd Kessler, and Angela C. Santomero.
