Ninth Annual HOPE Week Brings Toys, Games to Pediatric Cancer Patients

Toy Industry HOPE WeekThe Toy Industry Foundation (TIF)  delivered new toys, games, and costumes to local pediatric cancer patients and their families honored by the New York Yankees HOPE Week. The ninth annual HOPE week took place May 22 to 26.

During the week, TIF distributed the toys and other items to sick children. One of those children was an 11-year-old boy from the Dominican Republic, who was brought to the U.S. after he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Companies that contributed donations were Cardinal Games, Epoch Everlasting Play, and Rubie’s Costumes.

A celebration for the kids and their families was held at Yankee Stadium, including special festivities in a Yankees Party Suite.
