Official Bananagrams School Challenge Returns

BananagramsChallengeSchools throughout New England can now register for the returning Bananagrams Challenge school tournament. All finalists will receive a Bananagrams goodie bag, and the student crowned Top Banana will win a trophy and $1,000 for his or her school.

As part of its mission to get kids playing with words, Bananagrams Inc. created the challenge to help boost vocabulary and spelling skills in classrooms and after school programs. More than 10,000 students took part in the inaugural U.S. tournament last year.

The challenge is free to enter and is open to the first 750 schools that register. Kids in grades four through six will compete in a series of Bananagrams games with each other. Then, one champion from each school will compete in a series of online word-based games for one of 12 places at the Grand Final on April 1, 2017.

Each school to register receives a free Bananagrams Challenge Welcome Pack worth more than $50, providing teachers everything they need to run their school’s challenge, including two Bananagrams games.
