Peanuts Worldwide

The Peanuts gang will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year, and some new licensees are getting in on the action.

Peanuts Worldwide inked deals with Super7, Kahootz Toys, Mondo, and Squishable to bring the iconic characters of Charles M. Schluz into new realms within the collectibles category.

“Expanding our presence in the collectible aisle is an important part of our 70th anniversary strategy. Kahootz Toys, Mondo, Squishable, and Super7 are leaders in the toy & collectible business, with high quality product that we feel will resonate with lifelong fans, as well as kids,” says Lindsay Martinez, vice president, hardlines and partnerships, Peanuts Worldwide.

Kahootz is first to market, with a pairing of two classic brands — Peanuts and Colorforms — available now (pictured top) at retailers including Hallmark Gold Crown Stores, Target, Walmart, and Amazon. Mondo will issue limited edition silkscreen art prints and posters featuring classic Schulz designs, while Squishable will develop oversized plush focusing on Snoopy and Woodstock.

Finally, Super7 will produce a line of action figures, accessories, puzzles and much more to be sold at Super7.com, and other retail outlets, beginning in July. An early look at unpainted prototypes from the range was shown at Toy Fair New York last February.
