We’ve talked previously about Toikido’s plans to bring the Piñata Smashlings brand to a variety of partnerships, from Topps trading cards to PMI Kids’ World. Now, the 2023 release date is finally here, and Piñata Smashlings is finding its way to a pile of platforms, starting with a newly launched Roblox game developed by Supersocial.
Piñata Smashlings is a multiplayer online experience where players work to capture and train the Smashlings characters they find in Rainbow Pods. Players can use nets to chase and capture Smashlings, completing a personal collection. The game was developed by Supersocial, known for its other metaverse games and experiences.
This is more than just a game; it's a whole new adventure that starts in the digital sphere and echoes into the real world.
The Piñata Smashlings game is the start of many releases planned for the brand, which will be the first of its kind to launch from a Roblox game world. Future plans include a number of toys as well as an animated tv series. The first toy offerings coming to the U.S. market will be a line of toys, plush, and playsets from PMI Kids’ World, coming in October to various retailers.
The Piñata Smashlings game is available now in Alpha, with more information available on the official game page.
