Thanks to a flurry of leaks earlier this summer, the fact that Playmobil has been inking new licensing deals could be considered one of the worst-kept secrets in recent months. Now, the company is beginning to roll out its formal announcements for a variety of upcoming products that have cross-generational appeal for kids and collectors alike, and they’re starting with an iconic vessel once helmed by Captain James Tiberius Kirk.

Today, Playmobil officially dropped the cloaking device on its Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise. Created in collaboration between Playmobil and licensor ViacomCBS Consumer Products, the iconic Starship Enterprise will debut Sept. 8, 55 years to the day that Star Trek first debuted on TV.

The Playmobil U.S.S. Enterprise measures 42-inches in length, is 18-inches wide, and comes packed with details, including the iconic bridge area, and features lights, sounds, and augmented reality (AR) enhancements. Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov make their Playmobil debuts with Mr. Spock holding a unique distinction: He’s the first Playmobil figure in history to feature ears, and yes, they’re Vulcan. This craft also includes a special display stand or it can be hung using an included adapter.

The U.S.S. Enterprise carries an MSRP of $499.99 and is available from specialty and mass retailers, including Entertainment Earth.
