PlayMonster’s Director of National Accounts Darby Zahradnik joins the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association’s (ASTRA) board of directors today. She will serve on the board until 2025 for a three-year term.
Currently, Zahradnik oversees the specialty business at PlayMonster. She has prior experience in corporate merchandising at Zales and Michaels and retail store management at Kohl’s and Sweet & Sassy. She joined the Ann Williams Group in 2014 where she delved further into manufacturing.
After PlayMonster acquired Ann Williams Group last June, Zahradnik expanded her portfolio to include Koosh, Spirograph, Little Wonders, and more.
“It’s a pleasure to be in the company of outstanding leaders in the specialty toy business and to have the opportunity to give back to the industry that has provided me so much through the years,” says Zahradnik.“As the toy industry emerges from the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, our industry has adapted and evolved into a ‘new normal.’ We’re in a time of tremendous change, and I look forward to playing my part in this transition.”
In her new role on ASTRA’s board of directors, Zahradnik will make key decisions to further ASTRA’s mission, strategy, and goals.
