Pley to Stream Designs for Kids to 3-D Print Toys at Home

PleyPley, a toy rental company, will begin to stream toy designs to customers so that kids can print their own toys at home. Pley will include kid-friendly 3-D printers and material in its catalog of toys for rent. Once a 3-D printer has been delivered, customers will be able to download exclusive Pley designs to the printer’s app, print them at home, and start playing.

Customers will be able to purchase and keep the printers if they are interested, as with any other toys. Creative kids who design their toys could upload their design to Pleyworld and have other kids vote on their design. When the design gets 5,000 votes, it will be available for streaming and offered as a physical toy using Pley’s automated assembly machinery.
