Pokémon Launches First-Ever Board Game Adaptation of Trading Card Classic

The Pokémon Co. International released a new board game, the first of its kind to be based on the Pokémon Trading Card Games.

“With Battle Academy, we are excited to give families a fun and accessible way to spend quality time together,” says J.C. Smith, senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokémon Co. International. The game is meant for trainers of all types, so parents and kids can bond without anyone needing to be an expert.

Each game comes with a two-player game board, tutorial guides, three 60-card decks, gameplay accessories, and a code card for the free Pokémon Trading Card Game online, which is available on iOS, Android, and pokémon.com.
