PresenceLearning, a provider of online therapy solutions for schools and clinicians, has inked a deal with Hasbro to bring classic characters and games to the PresenceLearning therapy platform.

Under the new deal, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and behavioral and mental health professionals will be able to use PresenceLearning’s exclusive digital adaptations of Potato Head, Candy Land, and Clue Jr. during online therapy sessions with students on the company’s therapy platform. The adapted games facilitate cooperative play, problem-solving skills, and visual perception skills.

“Our partnership with Hasbro is part of a broader initiative to offer a next-generation therapy platform that helps providers deliver fun, engaging, and effective therapy sessions,” says Kate Eberle Walker, CEO of PresenceLearning. “We’re excited for the potential to create more dynamic therapy experiences by incorporating these iconic characters and games into therapy activities.”

According to Walker, when kids carry over play experiences from their therapy sessions to their home, they make connections and practice skills that support their progress.

The first Hasbro game to be developed is Potato Head, in which therapists engage students with a 2D version of a Potato Head toy, using a variety of backgrounds and accessories, as they work to address various therapy goals.

Kids can build their vocabulary and expressive language skills with Clue Jr. as they work on interfering, turn-taking, problem-solving, and social skills. Candy Land will let clinicians work with students on critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

“We’re proud to work with PresenceLearning to bring our family of brands to their platform,” says Julien McCluney, vice president and global brand leader, Hasbro Gaming. “We hope our beloved, instantly recognizable characters will help children engage with the PresenceLearning platform and empower clinicians and therapists in their important work.”
