This month, Disney Channel will launch Gigantosaurus as part of its cross-platform Disney Junior programming block. The new preschool series from Cyber Group Studios adapts the world of Jonny Duddle‘s popular children’s book into 52 11-minute stories, presented in 26 half-hour episodes. Ahead of the premiere, Disney is rolling out content on YouTube and the DisneyNOW app, including a preview of one of the first episodes—”The Egg”—and the series theme song by Pierre Sissmann and The Beatbuds.
Gigantosaurus will debut Friday, Jan. 18 at 9 a.m. on Disney Channel. Jakks Pacific is the master toy licensee for the series and is prepping a full range including figures, vehicles, play sets, outdoor toys, furniture, and Halloween costumes and accessories to hit retail this fall.
