Rubik’s Brand Ltd. partnered with Particula for the Rubik’s Connected Platform.

Launching in December, the app-enabled cube utilizes Bluetooth connectivity and internal sensors to track the cube’s activity and orientation, and then sends the data back to an iOS or Android device, which measures, monitors, and displays a 3D image of the physical cube in real-time. Connected cubes open new ways of play and experience, bringing the classic Rubik’s Cube to the digital 21st century.

The platform will allow “Cubers” to compete across multiple levels to hone their skills in solving the iconic Rubik’s Cube.

Particula is the Israeli company behind the successful Kickstarter campaign, GoCube, which already connects to the Rubik’s Connected platform. Rubik’s Connected Cubes will hit retail next year.
