Sakar International entered a multi-national licensing agreement with Centa IP to produce a new line of youth electronics based on the Netflix original series, Beat Bugs. The line will hit retailers throughout North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand next year. The products will include microphones, kid-safe headphones, Bluetooth speakers, walkie talkies, functional musical instruments, and a line of karaoke machines, all featuring the series’ five bugs Walter, Jay, Kumi, Buzz, and Crick.
Each episode of Beat Bugs, now available worldwide on Netflix and on the Seven Network in Australia, weaves a different Beatles song into uplifting stories and features cover artists such as P!nk, Sia, James Cordon, and more. The second season will premiere on Nov. 18.
The deal adds Beat Bugs to Sakar’s portfolio of licenses, including Shopkins, Disney’s Frozen, Batman v Superman, DC Super Hero Girls, The Powerpuff Girls, Hello Kitty, Monster High, Nerf, and more.
