Pacific Cycle is unleashing a limited-edition version of a classic Schwinn bike this week.

The Schwinn Grape Krate is a legendary variant of the Schwinn Sting-Ray that first launched in 1963. The sought-after color has been buzzed-about on collector forums for years, as custom bikes in the grape purple color led some to believe that they’d been released in the 60s, though grape was never an original colorway despite some examples reportedly existing.

A limited-edition of just 500 Schwinn Grape Krates will be sold through Amazon.

The bikes feature the classic Sting-Ray styling, including a high-rise ape handlebar, strut and seat post with spring suspension, and full-floating bucket-style saddle with racing stripes. The adjustable rear sissy bar allows the bike to accommodate a variety of riders, from kids to adults.

The Schwinn Sting-Ray is also available in standard colors, including blue and red, in addition to collector colors such as orange and coal.
