Sesame Workshop is doing its part to help families with a major expansion of its Caring for Each Other initiative as communities continue to adjust to a new normal stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Families can head to to find resources that will help kids face new challenges, such as missing their friends, while also offering activities and public health messages to help kids learn and play safely at home. The initiative will also roll out bilingual resources for kids of frontline workers and professional development tools for educators, social workers, and healthcare providers. AT&T and Walgreens are helping to support the initiative.

Today’s announcement kicks off a new campaign to celebrate the families of essential workers. Sesame Workshop will release new content in the coming weeks, including a special Sesame Street Muppet video thanking these super-families, ideas for ways to show love while keeping a safe distance, strategies for parents to help young kids cope with challenges their families face, and more.

Kids can watch Sesame Street episodes on HBO, PBS stations, and the PBS Kids 24/7 channel, with an expanded offering of free on-demand episodes of Sesame Street on PBS Kids digital platforms. Families will also be able to watch Sesame Street on HBO Max when it launches on May 27.
