The 70th Spielwarenmesse, taking place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3, 2019, will include a new series of expert panels called LicenseTalks.

The LicenseTalks panels are scheduled to take place at the Toy Business Forum in Hall 3A on the first three days of the fair. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., specialists from the licensing industry will speak about current themes and global trends.

On Wednesday, leading voices from the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) will discuss licensing basics and provide a market overview. Thursday will focus on “Toys, Technology and Licensing” with Jazwares’ VP of Global Licensing Sam Ferguson among the speakers. Friday’s focus will be on “The Influence of Entertainment in the Toy Industry,” featuring Sebastian Seppelt (Senior Manager Licensing GSA, Nickelodeon/Viacom Consumer Products), Joachim Knoedler (Managing Director Central Europe, CPLG), and Werner Lenzner (Manager Licensing and Strategic Development, Simba Dickie Group).

The LicenseTalks are supported by LIMA and the License Global Magazine. The full program of events is available here.

LIMA will once again have its own stand in the foyer of Hall 12, and LIMA members will have an opportunity to present their licenses to business contacts during LicensePreview. These previews take place in separate rooms at the exhibition center.

Visitors can use the Spielwarenmesse LicenseGuide to locate the licensed products at the show both quickly and easily. Available online starting 13 December 13, the guide contains information about exhibitors with licensing portfolios, their products, and their location at the fair.
