Four winners were honored with the ToyAward on January 28 at this year’s opening ceremony of Spielwarenmesse, the specialty trade show in Nuremberg. The winners of the ToyAward beat 601 products from 318 exhibitors, and were chosen based on quality, creativity, safety, and educational benefits. The award is a special acknowledgement within the global toy industry. The categories and winners are as follows:
- Baby & Infant category (0-2 years): Roll Around Rattles, which are a rattle with an easy grip that quietly jumps back to kids if they fall on the floor, from SkipHop.
- Preschool category (3-5 years): Highwayfreak, a scooter and push bike in one, from Scoot & Ride.
- School/Kids category (6-10 years): Zoomer Dino, a playmate dinosaur that can be moved by remote control or by hand gestures, from Spin Master International.
- Teenager & Family category (11+ years): Hobbyzone Sport Cub Safe, an easy introduction to the world of model airplanes for inexperienced pilots and toy retailers, from Horizon Hobby.
