Spielwarenmesse 2020 is approaching, and Spielwarenmesse eG is helping to maximize visitor success with an extensive range of services and content-related features for trade buyers and retailers. The services are designed to help visitors prepare ahead of the fair and during the event itself, which is held in Nuremberg, Germany, from Jan. 29-Feb. 2.

Attendees can utilize the online services to store their e-tickets on their smartphones to avoid long queues at the ticket office on arrival, as well as to use the ticket for free travel to the exhibition center on public transport. The ticket is valid on all local public transport within the VGN network (local trains with no surcharge in second-class seating) in zones 100/200 (Nuremberg, Fürth, Stein). Trade visitors will find additional useful services both on the Spielwarenmesse website and the app, including the interactive hall plan and the online catalog, featuring every exhibitor and brand at the toy fair.

Once visitors arrive at the fair, they can stop by the various special areas at the venue. Hall 3A showcases on-trend products, new ideas, and innovative exhibitors. The TrendGallery displays next season’s trends, shown through products spanning all product groups, plus innovations and the nominees and winners of the ToyAwards. Visitors can learn more about emerging companies at the New Exhibitor Center and the Innovation Made in Germany Pavilion. At the daily Toy Business Forum, experts will talk about current industry-related topics, trends, and challenges facing the trade. The LicenseTalks offer valuable industry insights into the licensing business. Retailers looking to extend and remodel their product ranges can stop by the special areas, such as Toys meet Books, Showtime, Baby and Infant Articles, and Tech2Play, for inspiration and ideas.

Attendees can swing by the visitor area, located in the passageway between Halls 3A and 4A, for an interactive social media station, entertaining games, and a catering area with plenty of seating. The exhibition center contains five quiet zones and VisitorLounges with free water dispensers and mobile charging stations. On Saturday, Feb. 1, trade visitors can bring the day to a close in the ToyCity with a spectacular fireworks display and a free mug of mulled wine.
