Steamforged Games — the company that transforms popular video games into tabletop adaptations — has hired Gabe Hicks as senior game designer. In his new role, Hicks will help build products in the company’s range of intellectual property (IP) and roster of AAA tier video game licensed games. He will also work on developing new systems.
“I’m so pumped to join the Steamforged team, especially with the launch of Epic Encounters: Local Legends,” Hicks says. “These worlds are just getting started and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
Hicks’ previous work as an innovative designer in the tabletop games industry includes contributions to Flames of Freedom from Andrew McMeel publishing, Tome of Heroes from Kobold Press, and Pathfinder from Paizo Publishing. He is also recognized for working with Critical Role, developing the best-selling Class Modifier Module, and building a successful streaming career.

Steamforged will continue to develop original tabletop roleplaying lines and offer authentic board game adaptations of AAA video games.
