A legendary hip-hop icon has joined Super7‘s expansive ReAction Figures lineup on what would’ve been his 52nd birthday.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard AKA O.D.B., Big Baby Jesus, and Dirt McGirt was a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan and remained active and prolific until his untimely death just two days before his 36th birthday in 2004. O.D.B comes to the ReAction Figures line as a 3.75-inch action figure presented in a vintage style that recalls the scale and style that began with the original Kenner Star Wars collection in 1978. O.D.B. comes on a cardback inspired by the cover of his debut solo album, 1995’s Return to the 36 Chambers.

“It is hard to overstate the influence of the Wu-Tang Clan across pop-culture, and the unfortunate early passing of Ol’ Dirty Bastard,” says Super7 Founder & Owner Brian Flynn. “As we have been able to make ReAction Figures of our favorite punk and metal heroes over the years, as soon as we could get into hip-hop, ODB was the clear first choice. I can still hear the rhymes in my head.”

An early prototype of O.D.B., along with future hip-hop offerings including Run-DMC and Notorious B.I.G. were shown at the Super7 booth at Toy Fair New York this past February.

“Helping create this ReAction Figure of Ol’ Dirty Bastard with Super7 was an exciting and detailed process, says Nicole Beckett, creative director at Four Screens Management on behalf of the O.D.B. Estate. “We all were committed to preserving O.D.B.’s legacy by creating the most authentic, 3.75-inch version of him possible, with his signature braids, grill, and mic. Now everyone can have a little O.D.B in their life.”

The O.D.B. ReAction Figure will be available beginning Nov. 30 at Super7 and other retailers, including Entertainment Earth.
