SuperSports by Super7 Inks a Deal with United States Women’s National Team Players Association

SuperSports by Super7 officially launched this summer with a wide range of products inspired by Major League Baseball (MLB). Now the company is kicking things toward a different goal: soccer.

Super7 inked a new licensing deal to produce 3.75-inch ReAction Figures based on key soccer players from the United States Women’s National Team Players Association (USWNTPA). The new collection will feature athletes including team captains Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, and Carli Lloyd as well as goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher — all of whom led the US Women to their fourth world championship. Additional ReAction Figures will include Julie Ertz (pictured top), Crystal Dunn, and other teammates.

“For years there has been a void in the market of officially licensed collectible products commemorating female athletes. I’m thrilled that Super7 will now give fans of women’s sports something to be excited about.” says Super7 CEO Maigread Eichten.

The USWNTPA’s group marketing and licensing program is spearheaded by REP Worldwide, an organization profiled in the spring 2019 issue of our sister publication, the Pop Insider.

“I’m proud to be part of bringing this next generation of female soccer stars to its fans,” says Super7 founder Brian Flynn, who worked on the 1995 US Women’s jerseys while he was at Nike. “Back in 1995, women’s national and professional soccer was just gaining traction. Now, as the father of three girls, I couldn’t be happier to have Super7 be part of the story of this team, their unparalleled back-to-back world championships, massive popularity and inspirational success by commemorating our favorite players with fan-favorite ReAction figures.”

The Super7 x USWNTPA ReAction Figures are slated to arrive at retail in time for the 2020 Summer Games.
