Sesame Street x Beyond Closet

IMG brokered a deal with Sesame Workshop for top Korean designer Taeyong Ko’s Beyond Closet to release co-branded apparel and accessories based on Sesame Street. The 35-piece Sesame Street x Beyond Closet collection includes T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, and sweatpants featuring characters, logos, and patterns inspired by the iconic preschool series. Pieces from the range made their runway debut in March during Seoul Fashion Week.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Beyond Closet as they re-interpret our feathered and furry characters in their own creative style,” says Will DePippo, director, Asia Pacific, Sesame Workshop. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re able to offer fans fun, unique ways to enjoy Sesame Street.”

“We have created witty graphic designs by combining our own signature features with Sesame Street’s brand identity, which is one of the most well-known TV shows in American history, added Taeyong Ko, designer of Beyond Closet. “This is a great example of reinterpreting the ‘kidult’ look in this special capsule collection. This is just the first step of a global collaboration with Sesame Street and Beyond Closet, with the support of IMG.”

Products are available from the Beyond Closet store in Dongdaemun’s Doota Mall and official online store, as well as online at Musinsa.
