McFarlane Toys is expanding its licensing program.
The company behind Spawn and licensed toys based on DC Comics, Fortnite, and My Hero Academia named Tanya Visano as its new executive vice president, global business development and licensing. Visano joins the company from ViacomCBS, where she most recently served as vice president, head of consumer products for Canada and Mexico plus international strategy.
Working with Licensing Director Jen Cassidy, Visano will focus on growing McFarlane Toys’ domestic and international business as the company continues to seek new license acquisitions.
“I am exceptionally excited to be joining the McFarlane Toys team — an art and content-driven company,” says Visano. “The DNA of exceptional talent starts with our founder Todd McFarlane, and extends throughout the organization.”
Visano previously held executive roles at companies including MEGA Brands and The Walt Disney Co.

McFarlane Toys has been producing high-quality action figures, vehicles, roleplay items, toys, and collectibles for the past 26 years. Over the past year, McFarlane has grown its licensed business alongside new and existing original intellectual property (IP).
“McFarlane Toys has a proven track record of working with renowned and award-winning brands, franchises, and companies to make a variety of high-quality toys and figures that appeal to fans and consumers of all ages,” says Todd McFarlane. “We are excited to leverage this expertise to secure more master toys licenses with top global brands.”
Earlier this year, a Kickstarter campaign for the Spawn Masterworks Original Spawn Action Figure and Comic Remastered raised nearly $3.5 million from nearly 24,000 backers. This summer, the company debuted its RAW10 collection exclusively at Walmart.
