The Creative Factor returns to the North American International Toy Fair in New York City for its 13th consecutive year, hosted by Brett Klisch of Peru Meridian Studios and the Toy Industry Association. While the event will welcome back the best in new technology in 3-D printing and design, the curriculum will expand to include social media and crowdfunding.
Attendees can join Revfluence this year to learn how to work with social media influencers to promote brands, and Kickstarter will be back with new creators, who used crowdfunding to launch their companies and grow their ideas. Industry experts will give advice, including predictions on where the toy industry is going and how play patterns can be developed from traditional means into digital areas, respectively. In addition, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will advise on how to understand intellectual property rights in a digital age, and Eric Belich of Greenberg Traurig LLP will be on hand to discuss how to prepare a patent submission for review.
