It’s that time of year again, and Toys “R” Us Canada has begun the search for its next Chief Play Officer (CPO).
The annual contest will crown one lucky kid who will assume the role of CPO as they travel the country testing out the hottest new toys and games while representing the retailer at media appearances and special events. Current CPO, Méganne Dagenais, is planning to retire after one more season of sharing Toys “R’ Us Canada’s top toy picks.
“The Chief Play Officer is one of the most coveted jobs at Toys ‘R’ Us,” says Vic Bertrand, president and CEO of Toys “R” Us Canada. “We rely on our CPO to help guide parents and gift-givers with toy reviews, spreading the benefits and wonder of play across the country. If you have a child who is passionate about toys, and who is outgoing and comfortable on camera, we want to hear from you.”
Toys “R” Us Canada is seeking a kid between the ages of 10-12 to serve as CPO. Interested parents and legal guardians can find full details and submission guidlines via the official CPO search website. The next CPO will be chosen in November and announced in January upon Dagenais’ retirement.
