The Toy Association promoted Adrienne Appell to executive vice president of marketing communications, effective January 1.

In her new role, Appell is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the organization’s communications strategies, key messaging, and brand integrity programs.

“Over the past year stepping up to direct all The Toy Association’s communications activities, Adrienne has proven her leadership and leveraged her wealth of toy industry experience making it clear this promotion to executive vice president is richly deserved,” says Toy Association President and CEO Steve Pasierb.

Appell joined The Toy Association’s communication department in 2004. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of marketing communications.

In addition to leading the Association’s communications programs for safety, advocacy, and toy trends, Appell stays in close contact with toy and game manufacturers to monitor upcoming products and trends.
