You could call it déjà vu, but it’s really happening: The Toy Foundation’s 2022 Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards are back for a second round!

As part of the toy industry’s great timeline reset, the next TOTY Awards ceremony will take place on Sept. 20 at The Toy Association’s 2023 Preview & 2022 Holiday Market at the Dallas Market Center to honor the best of the industry across 17 categories.

As always, the Toy Book is sharing in the fun by honoring all of the nominees with a special TOTYs issue that features every toy and license that is up for an award. Flip through the pages, take a look at each ballot, and then click the link or scan the QR code to vote directly from our pages. The ballots close on Sept. 2, so don’t wait to cast your votes!

Additionally, the Toy Book‘s 2022 TOTY Awards Special Edition also features an exclusive Talkin’ Toys conversation with Pressman Toys founder Jim Pressman, a new Pop Quiz with Wendy Smolen, a Flashback to the 2002 TOTY Awards, and some words from The Toy Foundation Executive Director Pamela Mastrota.

One additional change to the game is that the overall Toy of the Year and People’s Choice award winners will be announced on Nov. 21, 2022, just as the holiday season kicks into high gear. Voting for the People’s Choice Award, decided by online consumer votes, will remain open through Nov. 11. The Toy of the Year will be determined by a panel of expert judges.
