Ape Entertainment, in partnership with Sesame Workshop, has released three comic books featuring the case of the children’s show Sesame Street. The original titles will launch throughout the fall in print and e-book formats. The individual issues are produced in full color, and each 28-page short story will emphasize educational and entertaining content for young readers.
The comic books star Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, and all of the familiar friends from Sesame Street. Another Sunny Day was released on October 28; Blast from the Past will be available on November 23; and Many Friendly Neighbors will be available on January 1. Every issue includes a “How to Read a Comic” feature, which highlights a different aspect of how parents can best share comic books with kids, such as learning what a panel is and how sounds are visually represented.
In December, all three new issues will also be offered digitally on all major e-book platforms. A fourth book first released in 2013, H is for Hero, will also be available to download with a new cover. A bundle of all four Sesame Street comic books will be available in print and digital formats in January.
