The Toy Industry Association (TIA) invites toy industry stakeholders to participate in a webinar on January 17 titled Chemical Management Strategy for Toys. The webinar will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m.; it is open to all industry stakeholders and recommended for those who work on toy design, production, manufacturing, and quality.
Presented by Thomas G. Osimitz, Ph.D., co-founder and toxicologist from SciVera, LLC and moderated by Alan Kaufman, TIA vice president of technical affairs, the webinar will provide participants with a better understanding of chemical management in toys, why companies need it, and how to begin the process of obtaining it. The session will review recent legislation, the role of NGOs and retailers, risk assessment, available solutions for companies who would like to begin strategizing for chemical management in toys, and more.
Questions from members and industry stakeholders may be submitted in advance; to the extent possible, answers to these questions will be discussed during the presentation.
The webinar will be free for TIA members and $49 for non-members. Advance registration can be completed online. As with other TIA webinars, the session will be recorded and available post-event for those who are unable to participate live.
