Tami Murphy, an industry veteran and occasional contributor to The Toy Book, is branching out with the launch of her own company: Tamic Strategies.
Building on 20 years of experience in the toy and game industry, Tamic Strategies offers comprehensive business consulting services to companies looking to grow within the toy, game, and gift spaces. Murphy previously held roles at The Haywire Group and University Games, and most recently served as Vice President of Account Management and Marketing at Grand Prix International (GPI).
I am beyond excited to be starting a business that’s sole purpose is to help companies bring fun to the marketplace! I believe strongly in the value of play and all it means to human connection, child development, and an adult’s brain and mental health."
Tamic Strategies offers business strategy and operations consulting, sales strategy and management, branding and marketing strategy, and product line strategy. The consultancy is backed by Murphy’s extensive, hands-on account and project management experience tapping into the nuances of bringing a product from concept to completion.
According to Murphy, the Tamic Strategies was named in honor of her upbringing in rural Ohio.
“Tamic is a nod to my little girl self, with all her big ideas, growing up near vast cornfields and dreaming of bigger things,” Murphy says. “Helping companies with a custom growth-oriented approach, centered around understanding their unique challenges allows me to be a part of bringing new and innovative products to market. When I work with a company, I am part of their team, their success and wins are also mine. It’s an absolute rush to be a part of.”
