Toy Industy Foundation Visits Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, Conn.

More than 200 young children participating in The Boys & Girls Club (BCG) of Stamford Conn., received a visit from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) recently.

The visit came after a a $10,000 grant last winter that was awarded to the an after-school and summertime children’s center. The grant was part of Play Connects which provides funding to select community charities nominated by Toy Industry Association members. Board games, strategy games, and building toys are an important part of Project Learn, a BGC initiative. Homework and exercise are an important aspect of time spent at BGC Stamford; however, games and toys are vital to the Club’s mission to help their members achieve academic success, develop good character and citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle.
