Amid a shifting toy industry calendar, ToyFest West received an influx of attention this year that bodes well for the future.

The Western Toy and Hobby Representatives Association (WTHRA) has officially revealed plans to drop the “West” and rebrand the show as ToyFest — a national show — when it returns to The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas, from Feb. 27 to March 3, 2023.

Following the news that Toy Fair New York will be reimagined as a fall event and the continued industry desire for an event to take its place in the first half of the year, this year’s ToyFest welcomed guests from 39 states plus international attendees from Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Costa Rica, Guam, and the UK.

“ToyFest is now considered to be a national show rather than a regional show by toy industry members,” says WTHRA’s Chairman of the Board, Bill St. John.

Additional details on the show will be revealed in the months ahead as planning continues. WTHRA says that all of the events that attendees have come to expect will remain intact amid the show’s expansion.
