Toys for Tots is reteaming with Good360 to expand its year-round efforts to provide toys, games, and books to kids and families in need.
The new DoGoodNOW program will distribute more than one million items to families this year with a focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) toys. The focus on STEAM is a reaction to the loss of learning experienced by many kids due to school closures amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Good360 will leverage its network of nonprofit organizations to assist in distribution efforts across the U.S.
“Toys for Tots is more than a Christmas charity — that is why we want to DoGoodNOW and expand our partnership with Good360,” says Lieutenant General Jim Laster, USMC (Retired), president and CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “Without the assistance of Good360 and their vast network of non-profits throughout the country, Toys for Tots would not be able to distribute the one million toys we’re providing to families who are struggling outside of the holiday season.”
Since launching their partnership last April, Toys for Tots and Good360 have distributed more than 1.8 million toys, games, and books.
