Twenga Reports 150 Percent Increase in Children’s Costumes Searches

Shopping search engine Twenga is reporting that children’s costumes have become the fifth most popular item on its website. According to the site, searches for children’s costumes have increased steadily over the last few months and July reported a 150 percent increase.

The website reports that the most popular theme searches for children’s costumes, from July 17 to August 16, 2010, were (in ranked order): Viking, Bullfighter, Jockey, Wolf, Musketeer, Zebra, Greek, Chinese, Pop Star, and Monkey. The top 10 children’s character costumes for that period were Donald Duck, Pocahontas, Snow White, Bambi, Bleach, Smurfs, Zelda, Muppets, Michael Jackson, and Totally Spies.
