Venum and Rovio Entertainment Corp. have joined forces to bring kids a new and exciting way to exercise from home, all while representing the long-time favorite mobile game Angry Birds.
In classic Angry Birds fashion, kids ages 8-14 can practice boxing with this new collection of sparring accessories. The product range includes gloves, mitts, and mouthguards, as well as the option between a hanging or a standing punching bag, each of which feature classic characters, such as Red, Chuck, and Bomb along with the green pigs that the birds take down in the game.
“The Angry Birds brand has always been rooted in activity and movement, which is why this partnership with Venum is such a natural fit,” says Katri Chacona, director, brand licensing at Rovio. “While the birds and pigs certainly have fun at each other’s expense, in the real world we need to find more productive and positive ways to release our energy and emotions. This fantastic collaboration with Venum is all about encouraging kids to get moving and use their energy in a fun and safe way.”
The collection also includes special QR codes on the packaging that invite fans to participate in an augmented reality (AR) experience through a mobile app. Additionally, parents can help their kids become more active through an event in the Angry Birds 2 game, which will occur later this month.
