Warner Bros. Discovery has named Philippe Roucoule Senior Vice President of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Consumer Products, effective immediately. Roucoule will report to Robert Oberschelp, Head of Global Consumer Products.
Roucoule will take over for former European Consumer Products head, Julian Moon, who will retire after 33 years with the company. Moon will continue to oversee Consumer Products for the Asia Pacific region as he works with the team on succession plans.
Roucoule has named Johanne Broadfield Group Vice President, Franchise & Category Management. Broadfield will take on management of regional licensing partners and retail development in addition to her current role of overseeing Franchise Management and Marketing.
In the new role, Roucoule will lead all Warner Bros. Discovery Consumer Products operations across the EMEA region, and will oversee business and agent markets in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Poland. He will work with Oberschelp and Warner Bros. leadership to develop initiatives that support key franchises including DC, Harry Potter, Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones, Discovery, and more.
Roucoule has more than eight years of experience with Warner Bros. Discovery, during which he held the position of Vice President, Category and Retail Business Development.
“I’ve known and worked with Philippe for a long time. His business acumen and deep relationships with retailers and partners across the region are unparalleled and I am thrilled for him to take on this role as we continue to grow our business in EMEA,” Oberschelp says.
